It is probably one of the easiest things to do and so as Jim Rohn says; it is also one of the easiest things not to do. I, like all other people on the planet, am guilty of not following through and often ask myself in frustration, “Why is it that simple things are often so hard to do?”
The answer to that question is different for each of us. For some it may be organizational, for others time management, for others procrastination, for others a lack of focus, still others a lack of detail. While each of these is certainly a contributor to the issue and can be addressed, even overcome, I think the key to all of them boils down to what our parents told us when we were growing up. Finish what you started.
If you can agree and hold yourself to that motto you can improve all of the things I talked about above and much more. This also applies to activities you have committed to. Once you have made the decision to do it, Do it. See it through, complete the task. This is especially true if it is something that is different, something you haven’t done before or may not even like that much.
Finishing what you started is a powerful motto that helps build many things; character, perseverance, discipline, integrity, trust and along with those, improvements in relationships which translates into increased customers and ultimately sales. Follow through today and watch your life and business begin to experience positive change and growth.
